Get your subject to experiment with different moods and emotions in your image. Play with extreme emotions

2. There are several ways to approach self-portraits. One way is to frame an interesting composition and then, with your compact camera mounted on a tripod or another means of support, use the self-timer

I like this photo because it shows her doing something and it has things in front of the camera that it is not focused on 

my plan for my portrait assignment is I will either tack photos of my sisters or i will tack them of my friend Anya. I plant to do this either on the street next to my house or in the park. and I will research ideas and I will keep taking photos until I get something I like.
